The Director of the Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID), Col. Muhudin Ahmed Osman, accompanied by the Legal Advisor to the Minister of Justice of the Federal Government of Somalia, Yassin Bashir Ali, held a productive meeting with the Consul of the Turkish Embassy in Somalia, Colonel Tansu.

During the meeting, discussions focused on sending forensic DNA testing samples to Turkey, with the expectation of receiving the results within a short period. This process is crucial for decision-making in court cases.

Efforts to send the DNA samples have been ongoing for some time, and they are now reaching their final stages. The sending of DNA samples will be a regular procedure until the necessary equipment for forensic DNA testing is fully established in CID.

Currently, efforts are underway to complete the setup of the Forensic Lab, which will be instrumental in the analysis of DNA samples for legal purposes.
